Take a Hike is a walking group run entirely by volunteers, and we're always looking for new
walk leaders! Whether you've led a walk before or are considering leading one for the first
time, we’d love to have you on board.

Guidance for Organising Socials
Feeling sociable? We welcome and encourage any member of Take A Hike to lead a social. If you’d like to organise an event, please see the guidance below:
Process:
- Plan/organise the event (e.g. if it’s a meal, book the table)
- If you have access to the Ramblers ‘Walks Manager’ you can create your event there and send it for approval. Details should include the title, date, time, location, number of people, whether it’s for members only or open to all, description of the event including how to book on to the social, contact details of the organiser. Please email Social Secretary to say that you have uploaded your social and it is ready for publishing.
- Social Secretary will then put the event on the website and promote on TAH Facebook page
- The organiser is then the point of contact for the event
- Finally, enjoy the social!

- Flight Club (social darts)
Advice:
- Please do not put any of your own money at risk (e.g. placing a deposit). In the event that you make a loss, Take a Hike will not be able to reimburse you. If a pre-payment is required, please collect money to that value before paying the deposit.
