Yeadon Tarn to Horsforth

2020-10-25 10:30:00 2020-10-25 15:00:00 Europe/London Yeadon Tarn to Horsforth

The maximum number of people on this walk will be 6 including the walk leader.

This is a 7.5 mile circular walk from Yeadon Tarn to Horsforth and back via Rawdon. From the tarn we head uphill to The Billing where there is a trig point with great views. We then head down to Rawdon and wind our way to Horsforth Hall Park, passing through fields and woodland along the way.

After a lunch-break at the park (please bring a packed lunch) we head back up to Rawdon and then get a glimpse of the airport runway before returning to Yeadon Tarn.

There are several stiles and gates on this walk. You may want to bring hand sanitiser to use as you wish. There are a few narrow sections where we will need to take care if we meet other walkers. There are a few road crossings too.

Some of the fields we walk through usually contain cows.

This walk is not suitable for dogs.

Walking boots are recommended.

There are no public toilets along the route.

Meeting Point:
We will meet on the grass next to the car park at the end of the tarn where the BMX track is (Cemetery Road). It's the opposite end to the boatyard and buildings. If the car park is full there is usually roadside parking available. Please note post code is approximate.

The meeting point is about a 15 minute walk from Yeadon bus station.
