South Stainley, Burton Leonard & Brearton, near Ripon

The maximum number of people on this walk will be 12 including the walk leader.

Starting from The Inn at South Stainley we will walk past the church, along tracks and paths to the pretty village of Burton Leonard. After a short stop in the village, we continue onto Burton Leonard Lime Quarries Nature Reserve where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we continue onto Brearton and then back to South Stainley passing Stainley Hall on the way. 

The walk will start promptly at 11.15am. 

The meeting point is in the pub car park at South Stainley  which is currently closed at the time of writing. There is ample parking and the 36 Bus stops right outside. 

Based on the current timetable (03.05.21), the bus from Leeds gets to South Stainley at 11.07am. If you are planning on getting the bus, please let me know. Buses back to Leeds are every 20/30 minutes.
