Short Walk from Calverley for Filming Purposes [Booking Required]

2019-11-09 12:00:00 2019-11-09 :00 Europe/London Short Walk from Calverley for Filming Purposes [Booking Required]

The Ramblers’ media team, based at the London office, are keen to make a small series of short films about the positive walking experiences of a range of people. It is hoped that these films can be used on social media, to promote the Ramblers’ Festival Of Winter Walks (20 December to 5 January) and beyond, to encourage others to find their feet and get into walking.

One of the walkers the Ramblers’ media team would like to feature is Take A Hike’s very own Nikki Hall (whom, as you may know, earlier this year climbed Mount Kilimanjaro).

This walk is an opportunity for the Ramblers’ media team to record footage of Nikki walking with Take A Hike. Everyone attending this walk should expect to be featured in the background of the filming.

All walkers are required to sign the Ramblers’ standard consent form to enable footage to be made public. Please contact the walk leader to book your place on this walk and receive the consent form.

There will be some stopping and starting to allow the crew to get specific shots, so it will take longer than normal to do this 2.5 mile walk but it should be a fun experience! It’s a great opportunity to encourage others to get involved with Take A Hike and the Ramblers, so do join us if you can. If you have any queries or concerns about the filming aspect, please contact Deborah Hyde at the Ramblers: Deborah.Hyde@ramblers.org.uk

The meeting point is on Victoria Street at the back of Victoria Park in Calverley LS28 5PT. It’s a residential street which usually has plenty of free roadside parking available.

Meet on the pavement next to the gap in the park wall at 1145 for a prompt start at 1200. We will head to the woods and then walk quite sharply downhill to the canal which we will follow for a stretch before heading back to the start via fields and woodland. It is likely to be muddy in places.

Bring a packed lunch.

Please email the walk leader at least a few days before the walk to book your place 🙂
