Ripley to Ripon via Studley Royal

A 12 mile gently undulating linear walk from Ripley to Ripon via the Nidderdale Way, farm tracks, fields, woodland and Studley Royal deer park which is part of the Fountains Abbey estate. After a short break at Studley Lake we follow the River Skell via several small stone arched bridges and then head through Hell Wath Nature Reserve to arrive in Ripon.

We will catch the number 36 bus from Ripon back to Ripley at the end of the walk. Please bring some change for the bus.

Drinks afterwards at The Boars Head in Ripley.

There are toilets at the meeting point and also at Studley Lake.

Please note that the location post code is not quite where the car park is (it is just the nearest post code). When approaching Ripley on the A61 from Harrogate, turn left at the roundabout and the car park is on the left before you enter the centre of the village.
