Pendle Hill

2019-04-27 11:00:00 2019-04-27 000:00 Europe/London Pendle Hill

If you are looking for a walk with a feel good factor summit and/or a route that is not so often done by Take a Hike then this walk is for you !

Pendle Hill is makes up a detached part of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This walk is circular, so designed to be easily reached by either car or public transport.

The walk begins at the main entrance to Clitheroe railway station (many car parks close by). The route quickly exists Clitheroe. We then summit Pendle Hill for the trig point with fantastic panoramic views, weather permitting. The walk is then a ridge walk where you can enjoy the views before descending back feeling invigorated.

The walk is unfortunately not suitable for dogs due to live stock. The terrain is mixed and includes grassy fields.

There is a colorful pub by the railway station which services hot and cold drinks for us to refuel !
