Kirkstall Morning Walk ** BOOKING REQUIRED **

2021-07-31 09:30:00 2021-07-31 12:45:00 Europe/London Kirkstall Morning Walk ** BOOKING REQUIRED **

The maximum number of people on this walk will be 20, including the walk leader.

This is a repeat of the walk from Kirkstall Abbey Museum which took place on 16th May.

We walk through a residential area to Hawksworth Woods and Crag Hill before heading down to the canal at Newlay. We follow a surprisingly green footpath up to the main road where we detour briefly to bag a roadside trig point. We walk through Bramley Fall Park and then follow the canal path for a stretch. We finish up at Kirkstall Abbey. There will not be a lunch break during the walk. The walk leader will be having a packed lunch next to Kirkstall Abbey at the end of the walk.

We must keep to the side of the canal towpath to allow other walkers, runners and cyclists to pass safely.

We will meet in the free public car park on Abbey Walk/Vesper Lane which is near the museum, opposite Kirkstall Abbey. The post code for the abbey is LS5 3EH. There is a bus stop very close to the meeting point.

This walk is expected to take about 3 and a quarter hours.

If you’re a Ramblers member please bring along your membership card (or download the Ramblers App to get your digital membership card) if possible as the walk leader will be using the Ramblers App walk register tool which scans the QR code on your card.
