The maximum number of people attending this walk will be 6, including the walk leader.

*Drivers – please read important note below about the starting point – do not rely on the post code*

This is an easy 6.5 mile walk on broad paths around the Harewood Estate. We should see good views of Lower Wharfedale and Harewood House. We are likely to see deer too. Some of the route can be muddy, particularly in the woodland areas. Walking boots are recommended, if you have them.

There are a few gates and stiles. You may want to bring hand sanitiser to use as you wish.

The walk is expected to take about 3 hours.

If you’re a Ramblers member please bring along your membership card if possible as the walk leader will be trialling the Ramblers App walk register tool.

Meeting point for drivers: The grid reference provides the precise starting point. The post code is just the nearest and putting it in your sat nav may not get you to the starting point. Directions: Leave Harewood on the A659 towards Collingham. We are meeting in the first lay-by on the left hand side of the A659. It is a short distance from Harewood village. It is marked with a blue and white P sign. If you arrive first please park at the far end of the lay-by to make it easier for others to park. Please check you understand where the exact starting point is before you book a place for the walk. If you have any queries contact the Walk Leader.

Meeting point for bus users: Please wait outside the Harewood Arms on the A61 in Harewood. We should pass by the pub at about 2.30pm. If you plan to join the walk at the pub please let the Walk Leader know in advance so we know to look out for you.
