Halifax Piece Hall & Shibden

2020-03-14 11:00:00 2020-03-14 14:00:00 Europe/London Halifax Piece Hall & Shibden

From the entrance to Halifax train station we will do a walk of about 5 miles to Shibden Park and the Shibden Valley. We will start by walking through the Piece Hall which is an impressive place. We then head up Beacon Hill and down into Shibden Park. We cross the busy A58 into the Shibden Valley and back before heading back down the hill into Halifax.

Expect hills, cobbles and mud, as well as good scenery.

While this walk is not a ‘moderate’ grading in terms of distance, it is the top-end of ‘leisurely’ because all the ups and down make it feel like a harder walk.

We will stop for a break to eat our packed lunches in Shibden Park where there is a cafe and toilets.

Meet outside the entrance of Halifax train station.
