Evening Walk: New Pudsey Patrol

2018-10-23 19:15:00 2018-10-23 21:00:00 Europe/London Evening Walk: New Pudsey Patrol

This walk starts at 1915 and it will be very dark. Torches are essential.

From New Pudsey train station we soon escape the bright lights of the Ring Road by heading along a couple of old lanes (Priesthorpe Lane and Priesthorpe Road) to Woodhall Hills. We cross a golf course and pass by Woodhall Lake in the woods before heading through houses back down to the station.

Sadly there is no pub at the end of this walk, but anyone who has their own transport could drive the short distance to Town Street in Farsley where there are a few pubs/bars to choose from.

New Pudsey train station is close to several bus routes including the X6, 72 and 508.

If travelling by car, it is not recommended that you park in the train station car park as it's for rail users only and parking tickets are often issued. When you reach the T-junction at the bottom of the slip road from the Ring Road to the station turn left and park there at the side of the road (Owlcotes Lane).

Meet outside the train station building on the side next to the drop-off/pick-up bays (the side of the building that doesn't have any windows).

If you intend to attend this walk please e-mail the walk leader beforehand to let them know (or if you're a Meetup user, use Meetup to show that you are attending).
