East Morton and Riddlesden Circular

2019-10-20 10:30:00 2019-10-20 14:30:00 Europe/London East Morton and Riddlesden Circular

Starting from the village of East Morton we ascend through fields, passing into woodland to reach the ruin of Sunnydale Mill and Sunnydale Reservoir. Emerging from The Glen we continue West along field paths and then South, eventually reaching the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Riddlesden. We can stop for refreshments at the pub here or take a slight detour to catch a glimpse of East Riddlesden Hall before returning via farmland to East Morton. There’s a chance for a final pub stop at the Busfield Arms before travelling home.

UPDATE 14/10/19: Please note there is a particularly high stile to navigate over a drystone wall, which may be unsuitable for those with dogs or vertigo sufferers. There is also a small ditch to cross in one of the fields.
