Dales Way Link: Woodhouse Moor to Bramhope

2019-01-13 11:00:00 2019-01-13 16:30:00 Europe/London Dales Way Link: Woodhouse Moor to Bramhope

Join Sam Walker and myself to complete the remining stage of the Dales Way link. This stage takes us from Woodhouse Moor to the village of Bramhope, largely following the Meanwood Valley Trail. This route is recognised as part of the official Leeds to Ilkley Dales Way Link route, the other half of which was led by Sam Walker on 3rd November.

This walk takes place the morning after the winter bash and therefore enjoys a slightly later start! If you wish to, please join myself and Sam for breakfast at 10am in La Cafetiere (https://la-cafetiere.co.uk/menu/breakfast-light-meals/) – 6 The Crescent, Hyde Park Corner, Leeds, LS6 2NW.

If not joining for breakfast then we'll meet you at the walk start point (see below) to start walking at 11am. There is on street parking available on Raglan Road, adjacent to the start. This walk is also served by the many busses which follow Woodhouse Lane between Leeds City Centre and Headingley.

After the walk we'll enjoy a drink in the Fox and Hounds (Bramhope) and then catch the X84 bus back to Leeds (this bus runs twice an hour on a Sunday late afternoon and offers excellent value tickets if a group of 5 board together). .

We will walk at a resonable pace in order to finish in daylight but will stop for breaks along the way. It could be very muddy – plesae come prepared. Please also ensure that you bring a torch in case of a late finish.
