THE WALK

From Barley we walk along a riverside path to Roughlee where we will briefly walk on the road.  Here we will see a waterfall & the Alice Nutter statue.

Heading across fields we make our way uphill to a quiet road which takes us to Stang Top Moor trig.  From the trig we get a good view of Pendle Hill.

After walking across fields we reach Black Moss Reservoir.  At the reservoir we take the circular route through Aitken Wood to see the sculpture trail.

We then follow the Pendle Way up to the trig point on Pendle Hill.  The ascent is fairly steep.  Our return to Barley is via Ogden Reservoir.
