Addingham - Beamsley - Bolton Abbey

2021-04-17 09:30:00 2021-04-17 14:30:00 Europe/London Addingham - Beamsley - Bolton Abbey

The maximum number of people on this walk will be 10, including the walk leader.

Come join me for one of my fave walks up Beamsley Beacon to the beautiful Bolton Abbey.

We leave Addingham and begin climbing up Beamsley Beacon via Langbar. Any effort is well rewarded with fabulous views down Wharfedale and towards the Yorkshire Dales.

From Beamsley Beacon we follow easy farm-tracks and quiet road to Storithes where we'll enjoy classic views of towards Bolton Abbey.

From Bolton Abbey where we'll break for a short, we'll climb through woodland to enjoy more fine views over Beamsley Beacon before following the River Wharfe/Dales Way back to Addingham.

Although this walk is a little 'challenging' and involves a few steep climbs, nowhere is the going too difficult and any effort is rewarded with fine views.

This walk is likely to be well within the capability of most people with reasonable levels of fitness and would make an ideal introduction to 'bigger' walks.
