Booking is open for Ramblers first aid training. The Ramblers have been working with St John Ambulance to organise upcoming training dates. More than 120 sessions are taking place from July to September at a wide variety of locations across Great Britain. The training is free of charge, thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The Ramblers suggest that all volunteers will benefit from attending, particularly walk leaders and back markers. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.
To see what’s available and book a place, visit the Ramblers First Aid webpages where you will find details about dates and locations, instructions on how to book, and answers to frequently asked questions. If your nearest course is fully booked, you can add your name to the waiting list. The Ramblers plan to organise more training in areas with high demand and will update the booking page with new dates on a rolling basis.
The Ramblers have updated their first aid advice too. There are new videos and guidance to help you deal with unexpected situations and emergencies on group walks.
