***Please note that as the social secretary is injured at present (he has a sick note from his mum), and can’t dance (like he ever could), tickets will now be available on the door. It’ll give him something to do***

Time for the first big Take a Hike Social of 2018!

It’s a… Spring Cèilidh: A useful phrase to avoid thinking of the dreaded ‘Spring Clean’! It is also a great way to bring everyone together, whether you’re an active TAH’er now or you were in the past. As such, and in keeping with our previous Cèilidhs, this event will be open to TAH members and their invited guests.

Enjoy having a go at traditional British, Irish and American country dances to the music of the Capstick Cèilidh Band, a five-piece outfit from Leeds. No partners are needed, and no knowledge of dancing is required – the Dance Caller will explain the steps to us before the music begins for each dance, so don’t worry! You’ll soon be Reeling off the Gay Gordons and Stripping the Willow to your hearts content – Cèilidh dancing is great fun, and great excercise!

We have exclusive use of the hall and bar from 7:30pm until 10:30pm. Dancing will commence around 20:00, and last orders at the bar will be at 22:00.

OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS OF TAKE A HIKE!

Tickets are only £10 for members and non-members alike, and are on sale from various committee and non-committee members to ensure availability at most walks and social events – so grab ’em whilst you can!

If you are unable to purchase them in person you can pay for them by bank transfer – please email susanw1lk1nson@msn.com with your name and Ramblers membership number to receive payment details, and once paid your numbered ticket(s) will be reserved for you – just turn up on the night and enjoy yourself!
