**** There are still a few places available, on a first-come, first served basis – contact Suzanne for details ****

‘To Peak or Not to Peak’ the choice is yours…

WHERNSIDE 736m, INGLEBOROUGH 724m, and PEN-Y-GHENT 694m

I have booked sole use of the accommodation as a base for TAH for the weekend.

Anyone who wants to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks can organise themselves into suitable groups (based on fitness levels, pace, etc.).

I will offer shorter walks for Saturday and Sunday.

At the time of writing (10/12/17) these walks have not been decided, but some examples are below.

Anyone from TAH who doesn’t want to do the 3Peaks or the walks I’m offering is welcome to make their own plans.

SATURDAY

A circular walk up Ingleborough from Horton-In-Ribblesdale.  Choice of 2 routes, both 12 miles, one would include Park Fell, the other would include Gaping Gill.

OR

A short train journey from HIR to Ribblehead followed by a linear walk up Whernside, then up Ingleborough & back down to HIR.  Just under 15 miles if you include the walk to & from the train station (this could be shortened by 2 miles by taking the steep vertical route up Whernside from Winterscales Farm – the longer route would follow the Blue Clay Ridge, then up towards Knoutberry Hill).

Another option is a linear route from Ribblehead, via the Viaduct to Gunnerfleet Farm & Ivescar.  This would be 11 miles & would not include Whernside.  Timed correctly it might be possible to have a One Peak & Two Peak walk from Ribblehead, with both groups meeting at Philpin Sleights/The Old Hill Inn and doing Ingleborough together.

SUNDAY

Pen-Y-Ghent & Plover Hill, 9 miles.
