Leeds Beer Festival

2019-06-07 18:00:00 2019-06-07 23:00:00 Europe/London Leeds Beer Festival

I and several other TAH members have been to (or worked at in some cases) the Leeds CAMRA beer festival in previous years, with hundreds of ales, beers and ciders, perries and fruit wines available from many local, national and international brewers of all sizes. There will also be a small selection of local gins… Hot and cold food will be available for those with the munchies and there will be live music sessions as well.

The Festival is located at Leeds Beckett University, just a few minutes’ walk up from the city centre. The Student Union bar is a good venue, with an atmospheric downstairs concert room and light and airy upstairs bar.

The pay-on-the-door admission fee costs £18.00 for the all-day Friday session (11.00am-11.00pm) – the price includes £10 worth of beer tokens as part of your admission, a commemorative glass (three different sizes and styles available, £3 refundable if you don’t want to keep it), and programme/beer list. Card-carrying CAMRA members and students get a £3 reduction in the admission fee. More beer tokens can be purchased at the festival (not surprisingly), and any unused tokens can be sold back.

Advance Tickets are available with a £1.50 saving (even after booking fees) on early bird tickets until 28th April, so effectively you get £10 beer tokens for £8.50 – see attached links for more information. Ticketholders also get priority entry.

It’s not impossible to imagine that we may end up going for a decent curry after the festival either…
