The committee

Take A Hike is run by a committee made up of the members. Our current group committee is:

General Secretary & Treasurer:
Susan Wilkinson

The General Secretary’s main responsibilities are chairing the committee meetings, holding the purse-strings, and representing the group within the Ramblers organisation. The “Gen Sec” is your first contact for any matters regarding the group or for any feedback you may want to give.

Membership Secretary:
Angela Bailey

The Membership Secretary is responsible for answering any questions about your membership and replying to emails from potential and existing members. If you have any questions about joining you should contact the Membership Secretary.

Walks Secretary:
Stephen Noble

The Walks Secretary co-ordinates the Walks Diary and the encouragement of members to lead walks – even if they have never led a walk before! If you would like to lead a walk, email the Walks Secretary.

Social Secretary:
Deirdre Maguire & Michael Petch

The Social Secretary co-ordinates all the social calendar, keeping the Social Diary up to date and and supporting everyone to get involved! If you would like to organise a social event, email the Social Secretary.

Footpath Secretary:
Steve Fleming

Should you come across any problems with access (e.g. blocked paths or styles) or footpaths in a poor state of repair then we would like to know.Click here for more information.

Web Secretary:
David Husband

In charge of all things web-related, including overseeing the smooth running and ongoing development of the Take A Hike website. If you have any suggestions for the group website or have spotted any problems such as broken links, email the Web Secretary.
